Google recently changed its permission requirement, requiring location services to be enabled for Bluetooth® LE scanning if the following is true:
- The app being used targets Android 6.0 Marshmallow or higher; the Weber iGrill app fits this criteria
- The Android device being used is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow or higher
Weber did not implement this requirement.
